Christmas 2009

We had a wonderful Christmas Day yesterday! Noah woke up to find the living room half-way covered in presents. He immediately got on his "Cars" Big Wheel and rode it all over. It was from Bonnie & Carroll. After that, everything he opened was from Bonnie & Carroll! He also snuck away while opening presents to eat a chocolate he had found in his stocking. I found him in the office with chocolate evidence all over his cute little face!

We also went over to Grampa's to open presents, followed by Uncle Gerard's. Noah had a great time opening presents everywhere he went. On the way home, he fell asleep. He was tired out from all the fun. He slept a good 2 1/2 hours at nap time!

Ryan was here and made us a wonderful Christmas dinner. We had honey-baked ham, green bean casserole, sweet potato pie, fruit, pistachio salad, rolls, and Paradise tea! It was great! I wish he lived here in El Paso and didn't have to go home to Albuquerque. We always have so much fun together!

We are so very blessed. It was fantastic to spend Christmas in our new house. I didn't get to putting up ALL the decorations this year since dad was in the hospital for his foot infection, but I know I will next year! I thought a lot of Mom & Bob and miss them dearly. I continue to remember how they are in heaven where there are no tears and are surrounded by God's presence. They're full of joy and would want me to be, also.

Merry Christmas and a joyous new year for 2010!

My First Post!

I decided to finally start "blogging!"

Today I was thinking about Cain and Abel. Cain killed Abel out of jealousy because God was very pleased with Abel's offering. However, Abel had offered HIS BEST to God. Cain had not. Right there, I stopped thinking about them, and thought about me, and people in 2009.

What am I offering God? Is it my BEST? How exactly do I do that? With my tithe? With my life? What does that mean when I don't have livestock and grains? Is it giving to God first without thinking about how that may affect me? I know I can't "hoarde" everything I own. It's all His. Everything I have came from Him. I'll be thinking and asking God what does that mean for me?

A Noah Update: He's so smart! He knows when we are almost home, almost to Grampa's. We drove by Albertson's yesterday and he said, "Albertson's. Daddy's work. Daddy's work." He's so much fun and so full of life. I love how he gets excited by water. He doesn't need hardly any toys but a garden hose! He'll spray you, himself, everything and just have a ball. He loves to play in the water. For Noah, I hope it stays hot for as long as it can!
